Laghey is a gateway to all of County Donegal as it lies on the main road between Sligo and Donegal.Laghey lies 4 miles outside Donegal Town which is and extremely historic town where the Four Maters wrote the books known as 'The Annals Of The Four Masters'.

Laghey provides an ideal base location in order to tour around the south of County Donegal. It is also located near Donegal's Championship golf course in Murvagh and is close to Murvagh beach which offers a Blue flag beach that is almost 2 miles long.

Laghey is approximately 50 miles from both Sligo and Derry airports, if you are in the capital of Ireland, Dublin, then Laghey is approximately 140 miles away or a 4 hour drive. Buses are available from all major towns and cities to Donegal Town.
